Top 10 Cloth Diaper Mistakes

Newbies – Top 10 Cloth Diaper Mistakes For New Moms

Why this podcast?
This podcast is a fun, easy to listen to one which also happens to have a lot of info on a broad range of topics. I  like the chatty, informal style and appreciate that the panel of hosts brings experts on to share their knowledge as well as discussing their own experiences.

Why this episode?
I’m a member of a few expecting and new mum groups and I have noticed questions come up recently about cloth diapers so this seemed a fitting episode to feature.

What Role Should Men Play In Birth?

Evidence Based Birth – What role should men play in birth?

Why this podcast?
I refer people to the Evidence-Based Birth website all the time and am so happy that there is now a podcast too. All of the articles are, as the name suggests, evidence-based, meaning you have access to solid information on which to base your decisions.

It is so very important that whatever choices you make surrounding your pregnancy and birth are informed ones.

Information and knowledge ensure that you are the driver in your experience rather than a passenger.

Check it out!

Why this episode?
I’ve always been curious about lactation foods but have never really looked into them properly.

Time to learn more methinks!

I will say that the episode and, therefore, this post, do not provide nice, clear cut answers – because there really aren’t any. Rather it gives you something to think about and some great resources to delve into

Birthful – 12 Days of Birth

Why this podcast?
The Birthful podcast is a wonderful one for birth workers and families alike. Hosted by doula, author and postpartum educator, Adriana Lozada, Birthful provides birth stories as well as interviews with birth and postpartum experts.

Adriana is so enthusiastic and down to earth that listening to an episode is always a treat. Plus, with almost 200 episodes, there is a gold mine of information to be sourced.

Why this episode?
I was so happy to spot an episode on having a positive birth experience that included so much wisdom from Adriana’s many years as a doula.

Pregnancy Podcast – Baby Names

Why this podcast?
The Pregnancy Podcast has featured many times before because I love it! It’s fun and easy to listen to whilst providing clear, evidence-based information for all your pregnancy, birth and postpartum questions.

As it’s coming up to Christmas, I decided to feature a fun episode on choosing your baby’s name.

Why this episode?
Naming your baby can be a really enjoyable part of pregnancy or early postpartum but it can also be stressful finding just the right name. This episode gives some great hints to help you along the way.

Intrusive Thoughts

Mom & Mind – Postpartum OCD. Why am I having these thoughts?!?!

Why this podcast?
Yep, you’ve guessed it, Mom & Mind is another podcast from the Parents on Demand Network. Mom & Mind is hosted by Psychologist and Perinatal Mental Health Specialist, Dr Kat and is –

“Dedicated to understanding the mental health of pregnant, birthing, loss and postpartum families.”

Why this episode?
I love that the Mom & Mind homepage underlines that “Postpartum Depression is only part of the story”. This episode focuses on Postpartum OCD and I would encourage all expecting parents to take thirty minutes to listen to it.

”To raise healthy moms so that they can raise healthy kids in a healthy world”

The podcast focuses on fitness, food, life balance and living with passion and purpose.

Newbies – Postpartum Nutrition for New Moms

Why this podcast?

Covering areas such as preparing your car for your new baby; delayed postpartum depression; tears and episiotomy; swaddling; cloth diapers and sex after baby, this podcast seemed a great one to feature here.

Who should listen to this episode?
Expecting mums, partners and any family and friends who are planning to help out with food post-baby.
